About Me

Hello! I am a registered clinical counsellor in Victoria, B.C., on the traditional territory of the Coast Salish peoples. I work with adult individuals in-person and online. I feel very fortunate to join people on their journeys: bearing witness to their stories, offering a place where they can be truly seen, heard, and understood without judgment, inviting new perspectives and opportunities, and supporting them in creating the change they want to see in their lives.

The people I work with say they appreciate my gentle, attentive style and that we can be serious and laugh together. They tell me they feel comfortable telling me things they have never said out loud before and that looking at the context of their stories often creates new understanding and a sense of peace they have been longing for. They express gratitude for leaving the session connected to knowledge they did not know they had when they arrived.

I invite you to read more about me and my approach or contact me now. I hope to meet you soon.

What is Counselling Like?

When we meet, your personal goals are the focus of our work. The primary activity in individual counselling is often therapeutic conversation, in which the focus is on describing and working toward the future you want to live. I am here to collaborate with and support you by listening, asking good questions, and connecting you with information or other resources if you wish.

Choosing A Counsellor

One of the most important considerations in choosing a counsellor, after seeing a credential like RCC and considering logistical factors like location, is assessing therapeutic fit. It sounds simple but research tells us how important it is for you to choose someone you feel comfortable talking with and listening to. A free consult gives you a chance to meet me and ask questions before deciding.

In Person or Online

Sometimes it works well to take a break from the demands of daily life and experience counselling in a comfortable space away from home. Other times it is beneficial to be able to access therapy from home or work. Online counselling creates access to therapy while you are travelling or if you are feeling unwell. I offer sessions in-person or online, with flexibility to mix-and-match as much as you’d like.
